Operation Ramzieh has returned for the 2021 Holiday Season;
We are distributing toys, warm clothes, food kits, and baby items.
As in the past, this year’s operation will provide food hampers to needy families but because of extended burdens caused by COVID, the holiday program will be expanded to include toys, snowsuits, diapers, and other family staples.
Dreammind President, Abbis Mahmoud stated, “COVID has been and continues to be devastating to many local families, both financially and psychologically. In our own small way, we want to lift that burden for as many families as possible and to let them know that their community supports them. Our organization has been blessed with success and I feel it is important to give back.”
The holiday program will run from December 15th and into the early new year.
Operation Ramzieh welcomes donations and always needs more volunteers to package and distribute holiday hampers. Anyone interested is welcome to contact the organization directly.
If you’re able to assist with such items, please connect with us via [email protected]
Operation Ramzieh Feeds the Vulnerable by Mobilizing the Community.
Our initial mandate was to deliver food kits to seniors and those most susceptible to contracting the virus, ensuring their safety by keeping them at home. Within the first 10 days of COVID-19 lockdown, Operation Ramzieh distributed 10,000 essential food hampers within Ottawa, Ontario.
Food Insecurity is blatantly present amongst our neighbours.
Together, with love, we can solve this problem in our communities, and eventually, around the world.

The Ottawa hospitality community is stepping up to support local seniors throughout the COVID-19 crisis. In light of the province asking restaurants and bars to close during the pandemic, Abbis Mahmoud’s DreamMind Group, which owns popular establishments like The Moscow Tea Room and The Waverley, has launched Operation Ramzieh to leverage its vast network of suppliers and partners to help support Ottawa’s most vulnerable citizens.
